The gallery’s interior, with its white terrazzo floor and fully glazed shop front, is flooded with light and is unusually open to the surrounding street.
Originally designed and refurbished to house a Jeff Koons egg, the project required extensive negotiation with landlord, local authority, highways and neighbours. The project was completed within an ambitious programme restraint to accommodate international art schedules.
castle-davis continued its relationship with Gagosian and Caruso St John by refurbishing the gallery space in 2013 to incorporate a new private viewing room whilst improving the lighting and environmental services.
